Prof Emeritus Dato' Dr. Syed Mohamed Aljunid
Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Syed Mohamed Aljunid is a distinguished Public Health Medicine Consultant and Professor of Health Economics, Policy and Management in Department of Public Health Medicine in Faculty of Medicine UKM. He also serves as a Professor of Community Medicine in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, IMU University. He has a rich academic background including a PhD in Health Economics and Financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, an MD from the National University of Malaysia, and a Master of Science in Public Health from the National University of Singapore. With over 30 years of expertise in research and development in health policy, economics and financing, he has held prominent positions such as Founding Head of the International Centre for Casemix and Clinical Coding at the Faculty of Medicine UKM, Senior Research Fellow at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health and Founding Chair of Health Policy and Management, Faculty of Public Health, Kuwait University. Notably, he was honoured with the title of Emeritus Professor in Public Health by the Faculty of Medicine at the UKM in November 2022. Dr. Aljunid’s international impact is evident through his consultancy work for prestigious organizations including the WHO, World Bank, AUSAID, GIZ and Asian Development Bank, where he has contributed to the development and implementation of casemix systems/DRGs for provider payment methods in National Health Financing programs across 20 countries globally. Currently he is appointed by the Minister of Health Malaysia as a member of National Committe for Implementation of DRGs for Provider Payment and also the member of the Technical Advisory Group for DRGs in MOH. With a prolific publication record exceeding 300 journal articles, books, book chapters, and scientific reports, along with over 350 presentations at local and international conferences, and more than 140,000 citations with h-index of 82, Dr. Aljunid continues to be a leading figure in advancing the field of public health and health economics on a global scale. He has conducted more than 50 research projects, supervised 47 PhD candidates and more than 200 Master students. He is recognised as one of the top 2% most cited scientists by Stanford University in 2025. His recent book is “How much is the Cost of Coding Errors? A Study on Factors Influencing Quality of Clinical Coding in Implementation of Casemix System in Hospital Services”

Prof. Dr. Alabed Ali Ahmed Al-Abed
Professor, Department of Community Medicine
Faculty of Medicine, University of Cyberjaya, Malaysia
Prof. Dr. Alabed Ali Ahmed Al-Abed is an accomplished public health academician and researcher with over 17 years of professional experience across Yemen and Malaysia. He currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at the University of Cyberjaya, Malaysia, and holds visiting professor with East Africa University (Somalia) and Hasanuddin University (Indonesia).
Dr. Alabed obtained his PhD and Master’s degrees in Community Health (Epidemiology & Biostatistics) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), and completed a PhD Fellowship in Public Health at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH). He also holds a Higher Diploma in Health Management from the World Health Organization (WHO) and a professional certificate in Health in Humanitarian Crises from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

As a Chief Editorial Assistant of the Malaysian Journal of Public Health Medicine (MJPHM), Dr. Alabed plays a central role in advancing scholarly communication and quality publishing in the field. His research portfolio includes more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journals, addressing diverse topics such as epidemiology, global health, health systems, and public health innovations.
Throughout his career, Dr. Alabed has supervised and examined numerous Master’s and PhD candidates in Malaysia and internationally. He has also been actively engaged in international conferences and workshops, including as a speaker, chairperson, and scientific reviewer, contributing to capacity building and research excellence across Southeast Asia and Africa.
CONFERENCE CO-CHAIR
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdalqader
Dr. Mohammed A. Abdalqader is an Associate Professor of Community Medicine at the University of Cyberjaya and Head of the Community Medicine Department. With over a decade of academic and research experience, he specializes in epidemiology, family health, and community-based public health research. He has published extensively in international peer‑reviewed journals and supervises multiple postgraduate students across Master’s and PhD programs.
Dr. Mohammed has held numerous academic leadership roles, including coordinating key undergraduate and postgraduate courses, leading research groups, and serving as an examiner for postgraduate assessments. He has also coordinated and managed many national and international conferences, workshops, and academic events.
Beyond academia, he is actively engaged in community health initiatives across Malaysia, focusing on chronic diseases, maternal and child health, mental health, and indigenous population well‑being. He is a member of the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), the Iraqi Medical Association, the Public Health Association Australia, and the Malaysian Public Health Physicians’ Association.

Isanka P.Gamage is the Co-founder and Managing Director of The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) Based in Sri Lanka. He is the founding manager of three international journals and has served as the Conference Convener for over 350 international Conferences organized in 8 Countries namely Sri Lanka, China, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and virtually. He has initiated and engaged with many different online and offline knowledge-sharing platforms to make a sustainable future. In his journey thus far, he has had the privilege to closely work with many world-renowned personalities as the Nobel Laureates, Subject Gurus, and also with over 450 International universities and has been in the lights of more than 2000 leading Professors across the globe on several fields of study. He has also had the honor of working with the Ministries, Diplomats, industry professionals, and international organizations in different countries.
As a founding member and CEO of a few consortiums and associations in Education, Public Health, Environment, Women and Gender, Social Sciences, Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Disability and Rehabilitation, he is serving to Asian and African regions to achieve their Sustainable Development Goals by connecting his network in Western countries and trying to implement the concept of knowledge diplomacy.

He is a life coach and mentoring practitioner with Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP). And also, he is conducting mindfulness training programs locally and internationally.
He is reading for Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. He has completed the Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) and BSc Marketing. He also has a Bachelor of Therapeutic Counseling from The Open International University for Complementary Medicines.
